Eni Aluko - it's still rumbling on...
Togetherness just a hashtag??

Eniola Aluko disappointed and surprised by players not supporting her stance

The impression is that some players support the manager.
And probably still do and think throwing the toys out of the pram over the Ebola comment was an over reaction
But obviously in the current climate don’t feel they can say that publically

Probably sick to fuck of her as the rest of us are.

Re: Eni Aluko - it's still rumbling on...
Agreed Sven

I think someone needs to make the point of there being a very very distinct difference between being a racist and making insensitive comments that could be interpreted as racist. And Sampson was ousted for former conduct as well, not related to this

The BBC seem determined to keep the story going though

"I didn't want this to be a public episode. I tried to avoid it as much as I could"

Yep certainly tried to avoid it

I’m usually a bbc fan but their need to slowly start treating women’s sport on the same level as men’s is doing my head in.
Seems a determined attitude to lead bulletins with Women’s Ashes, Womens Football zzzzzzzzz

Re: Eni Aluko - it's still rumbling on...
Agreed Sven

I'm not against it because it's women - it's because the quality of the sport is poor and I'm not that interested - so I don't want a football feed filled with references to Man City doing well in th champions league but when you click on it it's about the womens team

You can't just keep forcing people to take an interest in something in the way they are - it actually puts you off

Re: Eni Aluko - it's still rumbling on...
There is undue prominence given to it and attempt to merge them
I say this as someone who was attracted to a website story that said ‘Australia name Ashes squad’
It turned out to be the flaming Sheila’s team. Which isn’t the Ashes at all but that’s another matter

Re: Eni Aluko - it's still rumbling on...
Just mentioned on another thread that there is no mention of that the complaint of bullying was deemed to be unfounded. Sampson was guilty of making a shit insensitive joke. That's it.
FA handled it with their usual professionalism. Maybe he shouldn't have been hired in the first place.
But she needs to just GO AWAY.
Get the feeling the current team just don't like her.
Obviously trying to wheedle her way back in the national team. She is so wasteful up front that if she was a bloke she'd be perfect for us.

I feel the same about Rugby League. And darts. And Moto GP.

It really grates that no-one will call all of that exactly what it is. Everything in that interview screams 'bitter' and 'race card' (although I don't think she realises that she's played it).

Don't you think it's odd that NONE of the squad stand by you, Eni?

I'm still waiting to have it explained why suggesting that her family come from Nigeria is racist. They live there. They're Nigerian.

Sven Roeder 3:02 Thu Nov 9
Re: Eni Aluko - it's still rumbling on...
I think she knows there is now almost an obligation to pick her now that she has this over the FA
And will play it for all it’s worth given that I expect she was left out originally for being not good enough any more

Re: Eni Aluko - it's still rumbling on...
Agreed fivetide. I'll chuck F1 in there as well and horse racing. I just don't care.

I'm a miserable fuck here isn't much I do care about

'the quality of the sport is poor' and you then mention MotoGP?

...the ...quality...of THE SPORT IS FUCKING POOR?

Speaks volumes that she had so little support from her England team mates.
Won't be long before male football fans in general are branded as sexist for not going to watch womens football.

I hope she never plays for England again, moaning women, she only started this because she was dropped by England.

Re: Eni Aluko - it's still rumbling on...
Ironic she points to the team celebrating a goal with their manager when questioning the teams ‘togetherness’. Fucking idiot needs to shut up. She got the bloke sacked, what more does she want?

She is part of everything thatis wrong these days. Moaning and blaming everyone else - hope she breaks both her legs

You can tell that it obviously irks her that she can't go on about that too much as it was a black player that ran straight to him.

She won a golden boot but doesn’t like to mention it.

We should all be grateful that she sacrificed herself for the good of everyone.

It was never about the money 🤣🤣🤣
